5 Ingredient Hummus

This hummus is super simple to make and really yummy!

5 Ingredient Hummus

1 can of Garbanzo Beans (16 oz.)

1 teaspoon minced Garlic

1/4 cup Olive Oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 Tablespoon Turmeric

Directions: Place Garbanzo beans, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and turmeric in food processor. Mix for 1 to 2 minutes or until ingredients are well combined and the hummus is smooth. 

Enjoy with sliced carrots, bell peppers, or crackers! It's also great on sandwiches in place of mayonnaise. 

Sandals + Shoe Polish

A little bit ago I bought a bag and did not have brown shoes to match. I tend to not wear brown all that often I mainly stick to black. So I went to Payless and picked up these brown sandals and did not even think to match the color with my bag. Since I already bought the shoes and liked them I thought I could just use shoe polish and change the color of the sandals.

 

Here is what the sandals looked like to start with.

I bought brown shoe polish at Walmart for about 4 dollars

I took an old rag and applied the polish to it.

You can kind of see that I started applying the polish on the left. The polish changed the thread color as well making the thread look black.

Here is the sandal after two layers of polish. The second coat did not really darken the color at all.

So the color did not get nearly dark enough as I needed to match my bag. 

Oh well, I do like how it turned out though, the color is much more rich than the original. 

Customize keychain with nail polish

I went to San Francisco, CA about a week ago and bought some souvenirs. One was a keychain of the golden gate bridge. Later I noticed there were brown areas on my silver keychain. Its hard to see in the picture but I still did not like it so I decided to paint the whole thing a new color.   

This was the keychain

I found a nail polish color that matched as close to the color of the golden gate bridge

 that I could find from the nail polish I already had

I applied one coat to both sides

Let it dry and there you have it-

Picnic for July 4th!

Happy Independence Day America!!!

I went on a picnic with my sister and brother-in-law to celebrate July 4th. We had I can has cheezburgers, sweet potato fries, watermelon and jello! Yum!

We just enjoyed lounging around. The hammock was very comfy!

It was a nice relaxing 4th.
